This Refund Policy governs the terms and conditions for requesting and obtaining refunds for yacht rental bookings made through YachtsAthens (“we,” “us,” or “our”) website for yacht renting (“Website”). By using our Website and making a booking, you acknowledge and agree to abide by this Refund Policy.

1. Booking Cancellations 

1.1 From Customer

If the Renter cancels at least 10 days before the trip date, they will be refunded for 70% of the booking amount paid until this date. If they cancel less than 10 days before check-in, no refund will be provided.

1.2 From the Company 

In the event of a cancellation due to “our” responsibility, we offer the charterer the option to reschedule the charter subject to availability and weather conditions. If rescheduling is not approved by the customer, a credit equivalent to the amount paid for the cancelled charter will be issued, which can be utilized for a future trip within a period of 12 months from the original booking date. Alternatively, upon request, a full refund of all payments made for the cancelled charter will be granted. 

1.3 Sailing Prohibition by the local port Authority

In the event of a sailing prohibition imposed by the local port authority on the date of the trip, “we” offer the charterer the option to reschedule for a later date subject to availability and weather conditions. If rescheduling is not approved by the customer, a credit equivalent to the amount paid for the cancelled charter will be issued, which can be utilized for a future trip within a period of 12 months from the original booking date. Additionally, upon request, a 50% refund of all payments made for the cancelled charter can be provided.

2. Booking Disruptions

2.1 Due to Weather Conditions

In the event of trip disruption due to weather conditions and the chosen route cannot be navigated safely, “we” will provide the customer with a new route suited to the prevailing weather conditions. If the proposed alternative route is not accepted, a credit equivalent to the amount paid for the trip will be issued, which can be utilized for a future trip within the next 12 months. No refund will be provided.

2.2 Force Majeure

“We” are not liable if such cancellation or disruption is due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including, but not limited to war, terrorism and excluding weather conditions (see §1.3 and §2.1).

3. Non-Refundable Deposits and Fees

Some yacht rental bookings may require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. The deposit amount and any associated terms will be clearly communicated during the booking process. Non-refundable deposits will not be eligible for a refund in the event of a cancellation.

4. Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed within 7 business days of receiving the cancellation request. Please note that the refund processing time may vary depending on your payment method and financial institution. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during the booking process, unless otherwise agreed upon. We are not responsible for any fees or charges incurred by your bank or financial institution in connection with the refund.

5. Booking Modification 

If you need to make changes to your yacht rental booking, such as altering the rental dates or switching to a different itinerary, please contact us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, subject to availability and any applicable fees or charges. No fees or extra charges will be applied.

6. Changes to this Refund Policy

“We” reserve the right to modify or update this Refund Policy at any time, without prior notice, to reflect changes in our business practices or legal requirements. The most recent version of the Refund Policy will be posted on the Website.
